Create and revoke an API key

Open the API page in your workspace and create a key for your integration. Copy it when it appears: only its fingerprint is stored. Place it in your tool’s secure configuration rather than a public page. Revoke a key that is no longer needed or has been exposed, then update the integration that used it.

Foliade API

Convert a PDF and receive a webhook

Follow the API documentation to send your PDF, follow conversion progress and retrieve the catalogue link. The free discovery API accepts five successful conversions per 30 days, one at a time. Full features, including webhooks and bulk uploads, start with Pro. Use the documented examples for parameters and responses.

How to create a flipbook from a PDF

Connect an assistant with MCP and OAuth

For an assistant such as Codex or Claude Code, follow its Foliade connection guide and authorise access through OAuth. This MCP flow does not require pasting an API key into the conversation. Check the displayed account and permissions, then review connected assistants in your workspace to revoke any you no longer use.

Text summary of the video
  1. The API page holds your keys, the call log and the assistants connected to your account. Free accounts get a discovery API; the full API starts with Pro.
  2. Create a key and copy it once: Foliade only stores a fingerprint. Revoke it at any time.
  3. With the key, convert PDFs from your own tools: one file, a bulk deposit, or a webhook when the conversion ends. The documentation lists every endpoint.
  4. Assistants like Claude Code or Codex connect through MCP and can deposit and publish catalogues for you. Connected assistants are listed on the API page and can be revoked.

Key points

  • The free discovery API accepts five successful conversions per thirty days, one at a time.
