Use the links detected in your PDF, test a private draft and review publication history. Learn how to restore a catalogue’s interactive elements.
Review links detected in your PDF
Review suggestions in the Enrich tab and filter detected web links, emails, phone numbers or videos. Check each destination before converting a suggestion into a customisable element. A link area already detected in the PDF can work without conversion; converting it lets you change its style or label.
Test a draft before publishing
Follow the sequence of draft, private preview and publication. Add or correct your elements, open the preview to test them and review the summary before confirming Publish changes. Visitors keep seeing the last published version while you work. Automatically saving a draft therefore does not share your experiments.
Restore a publication and remap elements
In Versions, choose the publication whose interactive elements you want to restore. Restoring creates a new publication and keeps the previous steps. If you also replace the PDF file, use remapping to check each element’s page: an old area may otherwise sit over different content.
Text summary of the video
- Foliade reads your PDF and suggests elements: web links, email addresses, phone numbers and YouTube addresses found in the text.
- Review them by type, add them one by one, or convert everything in a click. Ignored suggestions stay out of the way.
- Linked text is another way to create a zone: select words on the page, and the zone follows the text, even across several lines.
- Elements are listed page by page. Filter by type to find one quickly, and test the draft in a private preview before you publish it.
- Publish changes shows exactly what is added, modified or removed. Every publication is kept in the Versions tab, where an earlier one can be restored.
- When you replace the PDF, a remapping assistant follows each element to its new page, or lets you decide what to do with it.
