Download and open the HTML archive

With Business or Distributeur, download the catalogue’s HTML export. Extract the entire archive, keeping its folder structure, then open index.html in your browser. Keep the files together: moving only index.html can break the reader. Test page turning, zoom and local search before sending the folder to a reader.

Host the reader on your own server

To use your own hosting, upload the complete folder to a static server and open its address in a browser. The export is a snapshot: editing the catalogue in Foliade does not update that folder. After a correction, export again and replace the files on your hosting.

Check offline and password limitations

Page turning, zoom and local search work offline. Web links, external videos and form submissions need Internet access. An active form must be included when exporting; for fully offline reading, make it optional or disable it. The hosted reader’s password does not protect the files in the archive.

Text summary of the video
  1. Business and Distributor plans can export a catalogue as a standalone HTML package, to host on your own server or to read offline.
  2. Click Download. The archive holds the pages, the text layer and the reader. Unzip it and open index dot html directly: no server is needed.
  3. Here is the exported catalogue, opened from a folder on a computer. Page turning, zoom and search work offline; opening an external website requires Internet access.
  4. If a lead form is active when you export, it is embedded too: contacts reach your Foliade account whenever the reader is online. A README explains the limits.

Key points

  • An export already downloaded is not updated: export again after changing the catalogue or its form.
  • The archive contains the pages in the clear: the online reader's password does not protect these files.

Frequently asked questions
